Does Collagen Have a Taste?
Plain hydrolyzed collagen peptides are nearly flavorless and odorless, which is exactly why they're so versatile. Most people can stir a scoop into coffee, water, or a smoothie and taste essentially nothing — maybe the faintest hint, easily covered by whatever you've mixed it into. That neutrality is a feature: it lets you add it anywhere without changing your drink.
A few caveats: marine collagen can carry a slight taste for some people, and flavored collagen creamers obviously taste like their flavor (vanilla, etc.) by design. But unflavored bovine peptides are about as neutral as a supplement gets. If you're sensitive to textures, dissolve it fully by stirring well, especially in cold liquids.
