Can You Put an Insulated Bottle in the Dishwasher?
Most insulated stainless steel bottles are best hand-washed, and many manufacturers advise against the dishwasher. The concern isn't the steel itself — it's that prolonged dishwasher heat can, over time, affect the vacuum seal or the exterior finish on some bottles, and harsh detergents can dull it. Always check your specific bottle's guidance.
Hand-washing is quick anyway: warm soapy water and a bottle brush for the inside, plus taking the lid apart to clean the gasket, which is where most odor and grime hide. Air-dry it fully with the lid off. If a bottle is explicitly labeled dishwasher safe, the top rack is usually fine — but when in doubt, hand-wash to protect the insulation that makes the bottle worth having.
